‘Flat White Economy’ listed as new phrase to join the English language in 2015

The phrase ‘flat white economy’, first coined by Cebr economists and used by Douglas McWilliams Cebr’s founder and director as the title of his book published early last year, has been listed as a neologism of 2015 by language experts, according to the Daily Mail.

In his book The Flat White Economy, Douglas McWilliams explains the meteoric success of the young media, internet and creative industries centred on East London and named after its favourite coffee.’
