Historic England and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) commissioned Cebr to conduct research that estimates the economic contribution of the UK’s heritage sector.

The aim of the research was to produce a data-driven methodology for DCMS to own, with the potential in the future to consider using this to produce official statistics for the heritage sector, as part of DCMS’s Sector Economic Estimates.
