The CEBR report analysed the direct impact of CalMac’s ferry services on the economies of each of the islands they serve, but did not include the Cowal peninsula.
Cllr Blair told CEBR’s Robert Beauchamp: “I am particularly interested in the route from Dunoon to Gourock.
“I am well aware of the economic factors relating to Islay, for example, because of the lack of employable people and the number of distilleries.
