Cebr is sad to announce the death of its first Chairman, Sir Francis McWilliams GBE at the age of 96. He chaired the company from its inception in 1993 until he retired at the age of 75 in 2001. We greatly valued his wise advice. We send our condolences to Lady Wyn, Michael, Rowena, Ianthe and Douglas.

Sir Francis was Aldermanic Sheriff of the City of London in 1988/89 and Lord Mayor of London in 1992/93. He practiced as an engineer, largely in Malaysia, and subsequently was called to the bar, where he practiced as an arbitrator specialising in building and civil engineering issues.
