Cebr’s Deputy Chairman, Douglas McWilliams has been published in the Human Rights Law Journal

In the paper titled, The UK – Leaving the EU but staying in the ECHR, Douglas McWilliams presents an argument that perhaps General de Gaulle was right and we should never have joined the EU in the first place. The paper goes on to say that “continued UK membership of the European Court of Human rights is an essential check on an increasingly over mighty executive of a kind that is less likely to be applied within the UK.”

Colloquy in Honour of former Judge of the European Court of Human Rights, Paul Mahoney, brother of former Cebr Board Member Kevin Mahoney, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

You can find the piece in the Human Rights Law Journal, Vol. 36 No. 7-12, Pages 241-480.
